It depends on the rate you choose:
“Pay now” — bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking on the website or the Ostrovok app;
“Pay on the spot” — you may need to make a partial prepayment or provide card details.
The type of payment can be seen on the page of the selected property in the list of rates, as well as on the page for creating a booking at the selected rate. Next to “Pay now” or “Pay on the spot” you will see an i icon - hover over it to explore all the details of the payment policy.
Further information is in the sections “Conditions of accommodation” and “Additional information” on the property's page. After selecting a specific rate and proceeding to the booking page, this information is also displayed in a pop-up window when you click the “Important, please note” button.
Bank card to guarantee the booking
There are rates, under the terms of which the property can request a bank card to guarantee arrival and independently debit or preauthorize the partial or full cost of the booking on any day, including prior to arrival.
Important: The hotel may cancel the booking unilaterally if it is unable to debit the funds. For example, if the card turns out to be invalid or there are not enough funds on it to pay for the booking in full.
If you did not provide a card to guarantee your booking, the payment policy will have information under the i icon as to whether you need to make a prepayment.
Partial prepayment
If the hotel requests a partial prepayment for the booking, you will see a “Deferred payment” block in the rate description with a description of the terms and conditions, for example: “Prepay 2 000 rubles by December 31, 2025, and the rest at check-in.”
Important: If not prepaid on time, the hotel may cancel the booking.
