Can I cancel a booking if it is duplicated?

Updated this week

If you inadvertently make more than one booking for the same guest at the same property on the same dates, first check the cancellation policy for each of the bookings.

If there are refundable bookings among the duplicate bookings, cancel them. How to do this is detailed here.

If there is a non-refundable booking among the duplicate bookings and you will definitely not be able to use it, please contact support as soon as possible, stating the reasons why the duplicate bookings were created.

We will send the property a request to cancel the excess booking without penalty and will do our best to minimize or cancel the penalty. But since it is the property or supplier that makes the final decision, if the property works with us through a third party company, a positive outcome is not guaranteed.

If you have no duplicate bookings but have a non-refundable booking that you wish to cancel without penalty and create a new one at the same property but with different parameters, please contact support first. We will check with the accommodation provider to see if they agree to such changes.

Important: A property may only agree to waive or minimize a fine for a limited period of time. This means that at a certain time you have to create a new booking and cancel the previous booking in your account.
