Do I have to pay for my hotel stay with the card I used when I made the booking?

Updated this week

If you provided a bank card to guarantee your booking, the hotel may charge the card at any time, including prior to arrival, under the terms of the rate.

Also, the hotel may not debit the funds, but only freeze (preauthorize) them.

If the hotel does not charge the card provided or unblocks the funds at check-in, you will likely be able to pay with cash or another card. To confirm this possibility for your booking, please contact support.

If you have already made a booking, it will be quicker to get a response via chat:

  1. Open the required order in your profile.

  2. Click “Other actions.”

  3. Select “Question to Support Team.”

If you contact support by phone or email, please be sure to provide all details at once — booking number, dates, hotel name, and guest names.

Important: Even if you plan to pay with another card or cash, the card presented for the guarantee must be valid and have enough funds to pay for the booking in full. Otherwise, the hotel may cancel the booking unilaterally.
