If you’d like to pay for your booking in the hotel, you will have to enter your bank card details. The hotel can freeze the amount on your card. That way, it confirms your booking, and in case of no show or the booking cancellation, it can withdraw the fine amount (if it’s indicated in the rate you chose).

The fact that the hotel froze the amount on your card doesn’t mean that you don’t have this money on your bank account. You do, but you cannot spend it for a certain period.

Remember that when freezing the amount, the bank sends you the same SMS as when withdrawing it. If you think that something is not right on your account, make sure to contact your bank.
