In some cases, when the reservation is made on condition of payment upon arrival, we ask guests to provide their credit card details to guarantee the booking. When the booking is completed, credit card details are transferred to the hotel to serve as the guarantee of the guests’ intention. When transferred, the data are encrypted.
The hotel may check if the balance of your credit card is enough to pay for the booking and block a certain amount of money. As a rule, the blocked amount is equal to the price of one night of stay. In rare cases, the hotel may block the full cost of stay.
